Atlantic City Teenager Charged In Stabbing Death: Prosecutor

A 16-year-old boy from Atlantic CIty has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing, authorities said.

On Wednesday, Aug. 16, at approximately 10:40 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department was dispatched to the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue in reference to a juvenile with a stab wound, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

A 16-year-old Atlantic City male was located in an apartment with what appeared to be at least one stab wound to the chest area. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City where he succumbed to his injuries.

Another 16-year-old Atlantic City male, T.C., was charged in connection with this stabbing. T.C. has been charged with first-degree murder, third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon (knife), and third-degree possession of a weapon (knife) for an unlawful purpose. T.C. is currently detained at a juvenile detention center in New Jersey.

This incident is being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.
